Coaching Staff
2010 Coaching Staff Girls coaches: Greg Arbogast will be the head coach of a 16U team. Greg has been coaching girls basketball for over 28 years. During this time Greg has nearly a .700 winning percentage. Greg returns from a 2009 campaign having 30+ wins under his belt. He expects this 2010 team to be the best yet. Ricky Hill will be coaching a 16U team. Ricky has been coaching youth basketball for 9 years and working high level camps for 14 years. Ricky was an assistant men’s basketball coach at Southwest State and Head Football coach at Mpls Henry. Ricky has his BA from Boise State. Currently Ricky is coaching the freshman team at St Paul Central and is teaching in the Mpls Public School system. James Fassett will be coaching our 15U team. James currently is the assistant women's basketball coach at Anoka Ramsey Community College. James has also severed as the Head Coach at MCTC for 3 years as well as assistant coaching positions at the high school level in both boys and girls programs. James will be starting his 5th year with the MN Suns. He has taken our 16U teams to some of the most elite summer tournaments in the midwest and thoughout the country. Over the past three years, James has coached several Suns players that have gone on to play at 4 year colleges and univiersities. James also stays in close contact with several college coaches assisting players in getting to the next level. Cori Davison will be a 14U coach. Last year this team finished 6th in the NATION at the AAU Div 1 national tournament! Cori has won the state title and taken her teams to the finals in almost every tournament. Cori has a knack for staying steady at the helm. Cori is in her 17th year of coaching. Brindley McGowan will be a 14U coach. Brindley has a tremendous reach of contacts with college coaches. As a full time job Brindley trains young athletes in basketball skill development and the mental toughness required to play at the next level. Lora Stebleton (Schauer) will be taking a 13U team this season. Lora is in her 2nd year with the Suns. Being a Ms Basketball for North Dakota Lora knows what it is like to play at a high level. Playing four years at North Dakota State University Lora has the Division 1 experience that many girls are striving for. Lora began her coaching career with the Prairie Bison for two seasons and was a member of the ND AAU board before moving to the twin cities. Amanda Quattrocchi is going to coach a 13U team. Amanda comes to MN from the basketball rich state of Indiana where she played for the Indiana's Finest AAU club. She went on to earn a division 1 basketball scholarship with North Texas. During her high school career at Brebeuf Jesuit Prep School Amanda set the record for assists and 3 pt FG %. One fun fact about Amanda is she was on the Oprah Winfrey show at 10 yrs of age showing off her basketball handling skills Al Reff is the 12U head coach. Al brings 13 years of AAU coaching experience. Also he has coached with the varsity high school team at Andover. During his tenure the team did play at the state tournament. Currently Al is the president of the Anoka Traveling Basketball Association and works as a student advocate at Anoka High School. Dave Hanson will be the 11U coach. Dave was part of the varsity basketball staff at Elk River for five years. He has run AAU organizations, and coached top athletes throughout his career. This will be Dave's 10th year coaching AAU basketball and to date has helped 30 girls of achieving their dream to go play college basketball. Mens coaches 2010 Jesse Briggity will be the head 16U/10th grade coach. Jesse has 9 years experience with coaching stops at Osseo, Andover and currently Cretin Derham Hall. During his tenure at Osseo and Andover there were 6 consecutive trips to the state tournament Jim Hammond will be the head coach of the 16U/10th grade team. Jim is in his 16th year of coaching high school at the varsity level. He has 4 - 20 win seasons in a row and was named coach of the year in section 4A this past winter. Joe Krieg will be the head coach of the 15U/9th grade team. Joe has coached AAU and travel basketball for 5 years. He spent two years as a student assistant for the Missouri Valley College women's basketball program. His family has a rich Isaac Marshall will be the head coach of the 13U/7th grade team. Isaac brings 5 years coaching and 4 years of reffing experience to the table. He coached for two years in the Minneapolis Park and Rec coaching the 13U boys teams. Then spent three years coaching with the Urban Stars. Most recently Isaac coached the fall league for the Maranatha High School varsity team.
